Ashley's wish to have a Sweet 16 party

Ashley portrait

“ The Father and Daughter dance stole the show ”

Ashley's wish was sponsored through the Jewelers for Children program.

Like a lot of teens, Ashley loves listening to Hip Hop and Justin Bieber, eating at Joe’s Crab Shack, making crafts, and shopping at Forever 21. Because of her battle with Aplastic Anemia, Ashley received a bone marrow transplant then found out she would receive a wish.

She decided to include her family and friends by wishing to have a Sweet Sixteen birthday party.

On her wish day, Ashley received a manicure, makeup application, and hair styling. Then she was ready for her grand entrance to the packed venue. Her very special Sweet 16 party was catered and DJ’d. The highlight of the evening was the Father and Daughter dance, after which the entire audience rose to dance the night away. Her magical evening with friends and family was captured by local photographer, Kam Taylor.

Four days later, Ashley and her dad attended a special reception at Hal Davis Jewelers, the local Jewelers For Children affiliate. Her wish team brought cookies and punch, which everyone enjoyed as they listened to Ashley chronicle her wish. Hal Davis graciously presented Ashley with a gorgeous diamond necklace.
