The Ultimate Urban Challenge, benefitting the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Idaho is an exhilarating adventure designed for the most Xtreme athletes or a team of friends just looking to have a great time.  This unique bike race challenges the body, mind, and senses in the urban setting of Boise. 

Teams of four follow clues on bike to secret destinations and complete assigned challenges.  After all of the challenges  participants are invited to join the after-party to celebrate their Xtreme success with food, drinks and entertainment.  This race is unlike anything you have ever experienced!  Gather your friends and don’t miss the chance to prove how Xtreme you are!     

$65 per participant ($260 per team) Early Registration,

$75 per participant ($300 per team) after June 3, 2012

Course Description: The Ultimate Urban Challenge (UUC) bike course will navigate through downtown Boise and its surrounding areas, focusing on local attractions and landmarks. The course will begin at the Caven-Williams Sports Complex at Boise State University and end in Julia Davis Park. At the completion of each challenge, teams will be given clues to move on to the next challenge and eventually complete the course. Since the course is a secret, team members will be provided with their first clue and activity at registration. After completing the first challenge, participants will then receive the next clue to their second challenge and so on.
Transportation & Equipment needs:

  • Running shoes (or be sure you can run in your shoes)
  • Bike (either a road or mountain bike is fine for each team member on course)
  • Bike helmet for each team member on course
  • 1 small first aid kit
  • Snack or some type of energy food
  • 1 cell phone
  • a pair of extra athletic socks
  • Water

Event timeline: Participant check in will be from 7:30 - 8:30 am at the BSU Caven Williams Sports Complex. The race starts at 8:30am. Men, women and coed teams, each made up of 4 people. Each member of the team competes in all legs of the race. Bike mileage is between 15 and 20 miles. Post race party at Julia Davis Park Shelter #1 starts at 1:00pm with awards ceremony at 2:00pm. Participants will receive a meal and drink voucher. Beer and wine will be served; participants 21+ will receive one free drink. (Valid Photo ID reqired) Bring cash for additional drinks.

Prize Information
Grand Prize: will be awarded to the top fundraising team in both the “friend” and “corporate” divisions.
Race Winners: The 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners of each division will recieve an Ultimate Urban Challenge medal and of course bragging rights!
Costume Challenge: The team that comes up with the most creative team theme will win a fun prize at the awards ceremony. Imagination is key!
