The Make-A-Wish Foundation® grants wishes to children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy.
The Make-A-Wish Foundation is the largest wish granting organization in the world. Since our inception in 1980, the Foundation has granted 178,179 wishes, which means one wish is granted around the world every 40 minutes!
Founded in 1986, the Idaho chapter provides wishes to all eligible children throughout the state. Last year, the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Idaho granted 86 wishes, all of which fall into one of four exciting categories:
While all wishes are individual, a common thread weaves through them all. Wishes are inended to provide a meaningful and carefree experience for the child and lasting, positive memories for the entire family. More than 180 volunteers throughout the stat of Idaho have been and continue to be instrumental in the coordination and implementation of wishes.
The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Idaho is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. The Idaho chapter is chartered under the Make-A-Wish Foundation of America in Phoenix, AZ. The Idaho chapter covers the whole state of Idaho with the exception of the nine-northernmost counties.
