What is the Great Polar Bear Challenge?
The Great Polar Bear Challenge is an annual fundraiser for Make-A-Wish Foundation of Idaho.  Funds will be used to grant Idaho wishes to children battling life-threatening medical conditions.  The Idaho Chapter serves over 90 children each year.
 

When is the event?
Tuesday, January 1, 2013
 

Who should participate in the event?
This is a family friendly event.  Brave souls of all ages are encouraged to participate.
 

When and where is check-in?
Check-in at Spring Shores at Lucky Peak at 10 AM.
 

Event Description
Brave individuals will kick off their new year by plunging into the icy water at Lucky Peak - some will even attempt to ski or wakeboard. Donations are raised to fund wishes for Idaho children who are battling life-threatening illnesses.  The Great Polar Bear Challenge is a fun family event that challenges people of all ages to face adversity while making an impact in the lives of many courageous children. Prizes will be awarded to the top three individuals who raise the most money.  Prize categories include swim and water ski/wakeboard and are divided into two divisions; adults (18+) and youth (17 and under).  Heated changing tents will be provided along with coffee and hot chocolate from Moxie Java and donuts from La Ve En Rose.
 

How to Participate
There is no cost to sign-up.  Individuals can sign up as a team or by themselves.  Each person is asked to raise a minimum of $50 in donations through the online giving website.  Encourage your friends to support your efforts to raise money for Make-A-Wish Foundation of Idaho.
